Domaine Christian Moreau Pere & Files Chablis 2020

Critical Acclaim: 90 pts Burghound; 90 pts John Gilman.

"An appealingly floral nose reflects additional notes of quinine, citrus and ocean breeze. The racy and nicely detailed medium-weight flavors flash a touch of youthful austerity on the refreshing medium dry finale that offers unusually good complexity for its level. This excellent effort should drink well relatively early on that easily repay 5+ years of keeping. Recommended. *Outstanding"- Burghound.

"The Moreau family makes excellent Chablis villages and the 2020 is no exception to this rule. This sample was from the second bottling run for this wine, which was done in early September of 2021. It comes in at a svelte 12.5 percent octane and offers up a lovely nose of green apple, lime, chalky soil tones, white flowers and a topnote of citrus peel. On the palate the wine is bright, full-bodied, focused and shows off lovely depth in the mid-palate, with impressive balance and grip, bright acids and a long, classy finish."- John Gilman.
