About the Winery: Roserock is the Drouhin family’s estate in Oregon’s Eola-Amity Hills. The site is farmed with the same patient, terroir-focused approach the family brings to its Burgundy wines.
About the Wine: This estate Pinot Noir is selected from Roserock’s vineyard blocks, which are harvested, sorted and fermented separately before blending. The result emphasizes the appellation’s elegant, refined side.
Winemaker's Tasting Notes: The 2024 Roserock Pinot Noir captures the purity and tension of our Eola-Amity Hills estate. Aromas of black cherry, violet, and raspberry rise from the glass, layered with notes of dried herbs, coffee, and stony earth. On the palate, it’s vibrant and poised, with bright acidity carrying flavors of strawberry, plum, and subtle spice. The texture is fine and supple, unfolding toward a long, graceful finish that conveys the youth and promise of this wine.
“Wonderful aromas of lavender, roses and pure red fruit. The palate is silky and elegant, with mineral tension and flavors of pomegranates and wild berries. Fine tannins, tea and hibiscus in the long, floral finish. Medium-bodied. Drink or hold.” - James Suckling.
“Graceful yet dynamic, with multilayered raspberry and blueberry flavors framed by fresh violet, orange peel and cinnamon as this builds richness and tension toward refined tannins. Drink now through 2035. 22,500 cases made.” - Wine Spectator.
“The 2024 Pinot Noir Roserock is spicy in the glass, mixing crushed cherries with cedary spices and rosemary. It possesses a pretty inner sweetness up front, offset by tactile mineral tones and tart red berry fruit on the palate. Juicy acidity maintains lovely freshness as the 2024 leaves a sour citrus inflection and nuances of blackberry.” - Vinous.
Serving Suggestion: Serve slightly cool with salmon, duck breast, roast chicken, wild mushrooms or grilled pork.
