About the Wine: Clos des Chênes is one of Volnay's most distinguished Premier Cru vineyards. Domaine François Buffet farms 0.95 hectares here across two old-vine parcels, including vines more than 80 years old. The chalky marl soils give this 100% Pinot Noir both power and mineral definition, while 18 months of aging in oak builds structure for a long life in the cellar.

Tasting Notes: Pure red berries and delicate floral notes lead into a focused, medium-bodied palate. Grainy tannins, stony minerality, gentle grip, and a subtle velvety texture give this serious young Volnay both precision and finesse, finishing long and poised.
