Winemaker Tasting Notes: This full-bodied, structured, fruit-forward dry red has toasted notes of spice.
About the Wine: From a Château and winery that lay in ruins 35 years ago, winemaker Philippe Raoux has overseen a dramatic makeover. He acquired many more vines, and managed to have the majority promoted to Margaux AOC. This blend of Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon grown on gravel brown soil is vinified in stainless steel. Aging takes place half in new French oak barrels, and half in stainless vats for one year.
Winemaker: Philippe Raoux.
Serving Suggestions: Pair with roasted wild boar.
Varietal: 72% Cabernet Sauvignon and 28% Merlot Noir.
