Tasting Notes: "Floral and with a gregarious turned earth funky character on the aromatics, the Cuvée bottling is playful and fruit-forward. The aromatics of ripe cherry and raspberry give way to forest soils and pine sap. The palate offers fleshy red fruits marked by notes of pomegranate depth, desert scrub and a dried lavender finish that is carried by a marine salinity that streaks to the end."- Decanter. 

"Shows nicely coiled energy, with a core of black cherry, mulberry and plum fruit allied to racy acidity, which carries through on the iris- and anise-tinged finish. A subtle, smoldering earth accent hangs in the background, leaving a flinty echo. Drink now through 2033."- Wine Spectator.

About the Wine: Racines is a collaboration between two classic houses from France, led by Etienne de Montille and Brian Sieve of Burgundy, Rodolphe Peters of Champagne, and Justin Willett of Santa Barbara. The team came together to join their individual experiences in hand-crafting wines of purity and transparency to create a range of Pinot Noir and Chardonnay from the cool climate of the Sta. Rita Hills in California.
