The Debate Denali Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon 2018

Critical Acclaim: 96 pts Wine Enthusiast; 95 pts Robert Parker's Wine Advocate; 94 pts Jeb Dunnuck.

Winemaker's Tasting Notes: The color is shiny, deep ruby with touches of iris, mauve and blush on the rim. There is an expressive nose of cantaloupe, tomato sauce, pencil shavings, elderberry and clay, lingering on bacon, licorice and paprika. On the palate is a soft, velvety entrance evolving on a framed mid-palate with fresh blueberry, lavender and boysenberry, lingering on licorice and bay leaf.

"Hugely concentrated and woody, with impressive hints of cedar, clove, pencil and dried herb, this wine is lengthy and thick in dark brooding fruit. The power is wrapped in structure and freshness, allowing room for the wine to breathe and find balance. This is a good candidate for cellaring; enjoy best from 2028–2038."- Wine Enthusiast.

"The 2018 Cabernet Sauvignon Denali Vineyard has a very deep purple-black color, delivering pronounced, profound notes of black currant cordial, black berry pie and plum preserves with suggestions of charcoal, licorice, Indian spice and fertile loam, plus a waft of black tea. The medium to full-bodied palate has a rock-solid structure of super firm, super ripe, grainy tannins and bold freshness supporting the muscular black fruits preserves flavors, finishing long and spicy."- Robert Parker's Wine Advocate.

"The 2018 Cabernet Sauvignon Denali has lots of ripe blue and black fruits as well as tobacco and gravelly earth-like notes. It's full-bodied on the palate, with plenty of fruit as well as ripe yet present tannins, good purity, and a great finish. It's going to benefit from 2-3 years of bottle age and drink well for 15+."- Jeb Dunnuck.
