About the Winery: Located off the typical Napa “beaten path”, Pope Valley Winery is located in the Northeastern hills just beyond Howell Mountain in Napa Valley. This boutique property produces wines made from their family owned, estate vineyards in Pope Valley from vines that were planted as far back as 1940.
Winemaker's Tasting Notes: Fresh aromas of juniper and sage unfold to smoked jerky and cassis; the palate is dark and juicy supported by fresh cigar and toffee flavors; followed by dusty cocoa powder & tight structure on a clean, focused finish.
