Bodegas Fillaboa Albariño 2022

Critical Acclaim: 91 pts James Suckling.

About the Wine: This 100% albariño wine originates on the slopes of the historical estate of Fillaboa, in the Designation of Origin of Rías Baixas in Galicia. Year after year, its 50 hectares of vineyards are caressed by mild breezes, with a constant light humidity typical to the Atlantic climate that, together with the good quality of the soil, its “terroir”, make Fillaboa the best environment to grow the Albariño varietal, awarding its wines great personality.

Winemaker's Tasting Notes: The result couldn’t be more surprising, a harmonious white wine, with good structure and an impressive clean and bright straw-yellow colour. When we take our time to slowly enjoy this wine, we discover ripe fruit aromas, notes of pineapple and apple, also reminiscent of mango and citrus fruits. The final sensation when enjoying this albariño from DO Rías Baixas, is a delicate and creamy white wine with a very well-integrated and balanced acidity. This fresh, white albariño wine is fruity and round on the palate. A true delight for the senses!

"Peaches, crushed stones, lemons, sea salt and pineapples on the nose. So clean and balanced with a medium body and bright acidity. Stony and refreshing. Drink now."- James Suckling.

"This creamy white is backed by citrusy acidity, with exotic hints of jasmine and cardamom accenting notes of pineapple, lime zest, minerally oyster shell and smoke."- Wine Spectator.

Serving Suggestion: White and oily fish, shell fish, smoked fish, sushi and foie.

Varietal: Albariño.
