About the wine: Marc and I approach this wine as the symphony made up from our historic single vineyards. When looking at Napa Valley as a whole, the terroir is wildly diverse - from warm to cool, mountain to valley łoor. It’s our goal for this wine to be a Gagnon-Kennedy interpretation of the valley in totality. It includes our home vineyard, the Caldwell Vineyard in Coombsville, plus Beckstoffer Georges III in Rutherford, Beckstoffer Missouri Hopper, the Old
Federal Block in Oakville and Samuel Brannan in Calistoga. Each barrel that goes into the Cuvée selected first–drawing our inspiration from Krug Champagne’s masterful Grande Cuvée. -Michael Kennedy.
Tasting Notes: Dark, resonant, and powerfully dense blue fruit. Rich, yet refined and bright.
