Winemaker's Tasting Notes: Embruix displays a ruby red color with a violet edge and deep, intense aromas of raspberry and blackberry, along with hints of licorice, graphite, spice, and fragrant herbs with over a dark mineral base. This red wine exhibits an enticing minerality, fine tannins and excellent acidity. Flavors of black fruit, mineral, garrigue, spice, and cocoa linger on the palate along with notes of balsamic, toast, and licorice.

"The red 2022 Embruix was produced with 28% Merlot, 27% Garnacha, 21% Cariñena, 12% Syrah and 12% Cabernet Sauvignon from the younger vineyards. This represents the entry-level. It has notes of sweet spices and cocoa, with ripe fruit (it has 15% alcohol) but a low pH (3-1) and good acidity; so, it comes through as balanced and characterful, with very fine tannins and a velvety mouthfeel, with integrated oak. It matured in third- and fourth-use 300-liter barrels for 12 to 13 months."- Robert Parker's Wine Advocate. 

"The 2022 Embruix blends Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah, Cariñena and Garnatxa from the winery's young vineyards. The nose features ripe fruit aromas, with mild cherry and sour cherry notes. Dry and compact, it has reactive tannins and a taut mouthfeel, giving the wine an intense character. This is an accessible and affordable expression of Priorat."- Vinous.

About the Wine: This is the most popular wine of the Cellar. It is made with grapes from vines that are mostly less than 30 years old. It contains a blend of Carignan, Grenache, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Syrah.
