Bernard Levet Côte-Rôtie Chavaroche 2021

Critical Acclaim: 94 pts Robert Parker's Wine Advocate; 93 pts Jeb Dunnuck.

Tasting Notes: "The 2021 Cote Rotie La Chavaroche is another real success within the vintage's context. Evoking a dense, deep bouquet of spices, violet, dark berries and smoke, it's medium- to full-bodied, dense and seamless with a layered core of fruit and melting tannins, concluding with a long, spicy and ethereal finish. Matured for 24 months in 20% new oak, this cuvée, named Péroline in Europe, is crafted from vines planted on mica-schists soils in the lieu-dit La Chavaroche."- Robert Parker's Wine Advocate.

"Coming all from the mica-schists of the Chavaroche lieu-dit and not destemmed, the 2021 Côte Rôtie La Chavaroche (Peroline in Europe) spent two years in 20% new demi-muids. This gorgeous wine is a clear success, offering complex black raspberry, iron, bacon fat, violets, and lavender-like aromas and flavors. Medium-bodied, concentrated, layered, and elegant, it’s an incredibly classy Côte Rôtie."- Jeb Dunnuck.
