Winemaker's Tasting Notes: The 2021 MCM Old Vine Zinfandel from Gamba Vineyards & Winery is a masterful expression of Sonoma's heritage. Deep garnet in color, it offers an aromatic profile of ripe blackberries, black cherries, and a hint of raspberry jam, complemented by subtle notes of baking spices and a touch of vanilla. On the palate, the wine is full-bodied with velvety tannins and balanced acidity, leading to a long, lingering finish with echoes of dark fruit and spice.

"Forward and ripe, the 2021 Zinfandel MCM Gamba Estate Vineyard is a youthful and electric purple hue, with aromas of fruit punch, white pepper, and candied purple flowers. About the Winery: The historic Gamba Estate Vineyard, planted in 1900 in the Russian River Valley, is among very few vineyards remaining of original plantings by the pioneering immigrants of the turn of the last century. Organically farmed and using only rainwater for irrigation, we are honored to continue to farm and care for this legendary vineyard site, and produce limited production wines for you to share with your family and friends. Responsible stewardship of the land is very important to us, and we appreciate the results it affords our wines. An important goal in our winemaking is to preserve the freshness and specific expressions of fruit character. Gamba and Etrusca wines are sourced from exceptional vineyard sites throughout the Russian River Valley and beyond.
