Critical Acclaim: Robert Parker 92-94 pts; Decanter 92 pts; Jeb Dunnuck 90 pts.
Winemaker's Tasting Notes: The color is intense ruby red with bright reflections.
On the nose, there are aromas of ample red and black fruit as well as complex leather, peppery herbs, and dried flower aromas and flavors. The mouth is very elegant, with a juicy and supple texture showing aromas of plums and black cherry. The finish is delicate, ending on menthol notes. Tradition is clearly an elegant and silky Châteauneuf-du-Pape that can be appreciated on the youth of the fruit. Average age of vines 40 years old.
"A small step up from the 2021, the 2022 Chateauneuf du Pape Le Tradition is approximately 70% Grenache, 20% Syrah and 10% Mourvèdre. There's more concentration here, with hints of asphalt and red berries accenting black raspberries on the nose, and a full-bodied, rich, velvety-textured palate. Drinking window 2024-2040" -Robert Parker's Wine Advocate.
"Fairly pale in colour, transparent. Red berries and herbal bay leaf notes intertwined. Fresh and bright, with notes of leaf tea, cranberry and raspberry. Crisp and precise. Not terribly concentrated but refreshing and satin-textured. Great early-drinking option. Drinking window 2024-2029." - Decanter.
"A blend of 60% Grenache, 20% Syrah, and 20% Mourvèdre, the 2022 Châteauneuf Du Pape Tradition sports a medium ruby hue to go with a pretty, medium-bodied, elegant style as well as lively strawberry and framboise fruit, soft, integrated tannins, some floral, sappy herb nuances, moderate depth and concentration, and outstanding length." -Jeb Dunnuck.
