Michele Satta Piastraia Bolgheri Superiore 2018

Critical Acclaim: 95 pts James Suckling; 92 pts Wine & Spirits.

About the Winery: The vineyard which produces this wine was planted in 1991 with Merlot, Cabernet, Sangiovese and Syrah with the intention of expressing an affirmation of the highest quality from the Bordelaise Varietals planted in Bolgheri, combined with the ability of elegance throughout the Tuscan Sangiovese and the complexity of the Mediterranean Syrah.

Tasting Notes: "Really attractive currants, spice, black licorice and blueberries follow through to a full body with very fine tannins that integrate beautifully into the wine. Blackberries and currants. Pure and finely structured. Drinkable now, but much better in 2024 and onwards." - James Suckling

Varietal: 25% Cabernet Sauvignon, 25% Merlot, 25% Sangiovese and 25% Syrah.
