Sanford Pinot Noir Sanford & Benedict Santa Rita Hills 2016

Critical Acclaim: 91 pts Jeb Dunnuck.

Winemaker Tasting Notes: This single block Pinot has dusty cherry and raspberry aromas, along with sage and cedar notes with hints of forest floor. The palate is full with spicy dark fruits, framed beautifully by bright acidity and full tannins. Traditional Burgundian winemaking techniques using open top tanks, followed by aging in the finest French oak barrels, highlight the quality of the block. While delicious now, this wine has the structure to age beautifully for 10 years or more.

Varietal: Pinot Noir.
