Famille Gonnet, Chateauneuf-du-Pape Domaine Font du Vent Cuvee Etienne Gonnet, 2016

Critical Acclaim: 96 pts Wine Advocate; 95 pts Wine Spectator; and 95 pts Jeb Dunnuck.

Winemaker Tasting Notes: Ripe fruits, cherries, and black currant with bay leaves and spice. Dark chocolate notes offer depth and velvet like structure in mouth.

Additional Tasting Notes: An expansive bouquet evokes ripe dark berries, lavender, cola and exotic spices, and a bright mineral quality builds in the background. Velvety and seamless on the palate, offering appealingly sweet black raspberry, cherry-vanilla and floral pastille flavors that become livelier as the wine stretches out. Finishes spicy and very long, displaying lingering florality and smooth tannins.- Josh Raynolds, Vinous

Varietal: 65% 100+ years old Grenache situated on the Lieu dit La Crau, 20% Syrah and 15% Mourvèdre.
